Rolling up my sleaves. It's gonna get messy.

I just started working as the campaign manager for Shelia Selkregg's campaign for mayor.

You know, I didn't want to believe that I was going to be running a campaign any time soon. The nature of the game is such that even though my skill have prepared me to do this job--it is all consuming for months at a time. The thought of having a leisurely life is very intriguing, but I think now that my challenge is going to be learning how to balance doing good work while being able to maintain a relationship, maintain friendships and keep myself healthy.

We'll see. This campaign for mayor is going to be a mess. There are five progressive candidates running against one conservative candidate. Seems hard to believe that one candidate will gain a majority (over 45%), but we'll see.
